YouTube and User Generated Advertising is an exciting alternative to an art form long dominated by big business. Here's a wonderful parody, created by a father-son team, starring some Boston-area, High Tech office talent. Could this possibly be a User Generated Ad for Lunar Bars? Hmmm...I wonder.
Meanwhile, the commercial artists continue to refine and elevate commercial art. I found the short-but-very-sweet and extremely well-done commercials posted HERE to be among the most inspirational for aspiring amateur movie makers. Amazing what powerful messages can be conveyed in less than a minute.
During the World Series, my own Amazing Gracie, of YouTube fame, participated in a TV commercial. Filmed at Boston's most popular sports bar, the Cask 'N Flagon (next door to Fenway Park) where Amazing Gracie works as a winsome waitress, this Reebok commercial featured hockey great Bobby Orr and rock star Donny Wahlberg. See if you can find Amazing Gracie.
More on YouTube and creative messaging...how to send an email to remind tenants that the rent is due? How about a link to Will Ferrell & The Landlord ? Just like a Hallmark Card, I'm sure there is a YouTube video to help deliver any message. If not...well, then, get to work.
And, strictly for fun, for those of you Dilbert fans stuck in an office during this fabulous fall weather, longing for an outlet for your creativity, here's a YouTube video for you.
